Our adventure began in 2006, and what a wonderful ride it has been. We have been so blessed during our relationship. We have experienced success in our professional lives, maintained and gained friendships, grown closer to God, and to one another.
As some of you may or may not know we have however, struggled with infertility. We have tried to start a family for over 5 years. We have struggled through miscarriages and years of infertility treatments, only to be told our only option was In-Vitro Fertilization. We knew this wasn't our only option...AND WE HAVE DECIDED TO ADOPT!!!
We are working with a great attorney, Gene Kelley from Rogers, Arkansas. He has completed over 1,000 adoptions! We are currently completing our home study are are waiting for a birthmother to choose us to start our family. The waiting period is similar to pregnancy, except that we have no due date. We could be chosen next week or it could take be next year. 75% of Gene's clients have a child within 12 months.
This is an exciting time for us but we have a long road ahead of us. The average US adoption is $35,000. Our adoption will cost $25,000. It is said it takes a village to raise a child, but for us it will need to start a little earlier. Would you consider joining our village for our child?
